A ROYAL VISIT

Memories of our special day!
(Tuesday 26th June 2012)
We were delighted and proud to have Her Majesty the Queen, HRH the Duke of Edinburgh and over 700 invited guests at one of the four national Jubilee thanksgiving services. The building of our church was commissioned by King James I almost 400 years ago, but this was the first time that a British monarch paid us a visit. This page will display images and  (in time) video from the day, for as long as our website exists!
Many of the images on this page, taken after our church service, outside and in St. Michael's R.C.Church were kindly donated free of charge by Harrison Photography (click to open website where you can access hundreds of photographs from the day by entering queenchurchvisits in the event passcode.).
St. Macartin's Cathedral proudly flies the Royal Standard for the very first time.
